I could tell you all kinds of things about myself, but I suspect you are most interested in how my experience in writing will help you with your word smithing needs.
I never thought of myself as a writer or even being good at writing for the longest time. And then I was asked to contribute to the book The Vigilant Fundraiser. I must have done a pretty good job because the editor asked me to write some articles for various fundraising publications. I found that I really enjoyed it.
Skip ahead a few years and I decided that a book on the topic of prospect research in Canada was a very much needed resource. I joined forces with Tracey Church and Apra Canada and together we created Prospect Research in Canada: An Essential Guide for Researchers and Fundraisers. There are 30 contributors (including myself) and a lot of great information and insight. It was a labour of love for sure.
As much as I enjoy writing about fundraising, my blog and my interests are diverse in topics. Check it out and let’s connect.
